Hungarian Cinematographers Csepeli, Kovacs and Tóth will attend EWA Network's Annual Event in the Berlinale

With the invaluable collaboration of our long time partner, the Collegium Hungaricum in Berlin, EWA Network is inviting renowned cinematographers Eszter Csepeli, Claudia Kovacs and  Judit Evelin Tóth to participate in the Annual event for EWA members.

Eszter

Eszter Csepeli is Hungary’s leading female cinematographer. She is a founding member of the Hungarian Cinematographers’ Association (HCA) and the only woman on the board. Eszter is a Fulbright Scholar and nominated for Palme d’Or at Cannes Film Festival. ZEISS + WIM Altitude Awards Winner, Main Prize. Featured in British Cinematographer. She currently resides in Los Angeles and Budapest. She was selected for the ASC Mentorship Program in 2022, her mentor was Cynthia Pusheck ASC.

Fallen_Claudia

CLAUDIA KOVACS, a double-degree holder in Film Art with a focus on cinematography, earned her Master's from the Hungarian Film and Theater Art University Budapest and another Master's in film history and aesthetics from Eötvös Loránt University. Her passion extends beyond creativity, involving analysis and teaching of film methods. She completed a post-graduation program at Tel Aviv University, crafting her feature film in 2015-2016, and participated in the Sarajevo Talents cinematography master class led by Fred Kelemen

Evelin

Evelin Judit Tóth is a Hungarian cinematographer, graduated from the University of Theater and Film Arts in 2018 in the class of Tibor Máthé and Ildikó Enyedi, with a master's degree. Her most important work is the feature film Eviction. In addition, she photographed numerous short films, commercials, music videos, and educational videos. In 2014, she won the prize for the best student film at the Aranyszem (Golden Eye) Hungarian Film Festival, and in 2023 her film Utolsó felvonás (Last act) won a special prize at the Zsigmond Vilmos International Film Festival. Evelin has been a member of Hungarian Cinematographers' Association (HCA www.hca.camera) since 2021.
