Networking session with the founders of The Writers Lab, Elizabeth Kaiden and Nitza Wilon

EWA Network is delighted to host the founders of The Writers Lab in a meeting with EWA members.

The Writers Lab presents script-development intensives & market incubation to build craft, community, and career. TWL amplifies the voices of women in their prime whose stories have not been told.

Kaiden and Wilon will present their lab before opening a Q&A with EWA members and free flow discussion about the members' projects. You are welcome to participate and share a logline or project you are working in.

WHEN: OCTOBER 24 at 17:30 CET

EWA members will receive an invitation to attend this talk.

WHAT ARE EWA NETWORK ONLINE HANG-OUTS?

Through an online space where EWA members from all around can connect and know each other, we organise once a month a meeting where an expert introduces a topic followed by Q&A and members can interact.

Each meeting will last 75 minutes aprox and it's open to 20-25 EWA members, who can introduce themselves and participate in the following Q&A.

An invitation to join the talk will be sent to EWA members (first come, first served basis).

Elizabeth Kaiden and Nitza Wilon co-founded The Writers Lab in 2015, and now hold retreats and intensives in person and online for women all over the world, in partnership with New York Women in Film & Television and Untamed Stories.

Elizabeth previously served as Head of Development at Tangerine Entertainment, an independent production company that produces films directed by women, has mentored at Stowe Story Labs, was a theater and film critic, and is a graduate of Princeton and the Yale School of Drama. Before committing to story and career development for women screenwriters, Nitza was an actor, journalist, and magazine and book editor. She earned her BA from the Annenberg School of Communications at UPenn. In addition to her work advocating for women in film, Nitza is a writer and voice actor. Both Elizabeth and Nitza live in the New York City area with their families.

The Writers Lab is supported by Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, the Cornelia T Bailey Foundation, and The Ravenal Foundation. It is produced by co-founders Elizabeth Kaiden and Nitza Wilon with New York Women in Film & Television, and presented in collaboration with the Writers Guild of America, East, with in-kind support from The Black List, Falco Ink, Film Fatales, Final Draft, Roadmap Writers, and Untamed Stories.
