LEX JULIA, produced by Merja Ritola received the Works in Progress Public Favourite Pitch Award at the Baltic Event
Lex Julia, produced by Greenlit Productions and directed by Laura Hyppönen, has won the Public Favourite Pitch award in the Baltic Event Works in Progress section at the Black Nights Film Festival in Tallinn. The award is based on audience votes and demonstrates strong interest in the film even before its completion.
According to Finnish producer Merja Ritola, the recognition is a significant milestone in the film's international journey: "We are deeply grateful to the audience who followed the pitch for their trust. Lex Julia is an intense, important, and emotionally powerful story, and it's wonderful that it resonates so strongly even in the post-production phase."
Lex Julia is a psychological suspense drama. The film was shot in late summer 2025 in the Turku archipelago and is currently in post-production. The film will be distributed in Finland by StoryHill.
Baltic Event is one of Northern Europe's leading professional film industry events, bringing together international financiers, distributors, and festival selectors every year. The award serves as an important indicator of the film's international potential.
