Closing of the 4th edition of Mentoring
Programme for Emerging Female Producers
It is with great pleasure that, after a year full of meetings, online sessions, 1-2-1 meetings, networking at major film festivals, we bring to an end the fourth edition of the mentoring programme for emerging female producers.
It has been an exciting year where we have witnessed the professional and personal growth of some of the participants, alongside with new bonds in the shape of international co-productions, a year where important decisions have been taken in the pursuit of the professional careers of many of them.
The meeting in Trieste, 22-25 January 2023 was the last official meeting in a film festival. The programme would be finally concluded two weeks later with the Online Accelerator Workshop.
The meeting in Trieste within the framework of When East Meets West co-production market was packed with masterclasses, case studies, including the success story within the mentoring programme, PAMFIR, a Ukraine-France co-production forged within the programme, exclusive sessions on Eurimages and Creative Europe and a workshop on distribution strategy and market trends by Katarzyna Siniarska (New Europe Film Sales).
During the private session, the group shared progress and advance and also sensitive issues that needed the advice of experienced producers. The last activity of the group, online, took place on 8 February with the final pitching of the Accelerator Workshop, a business impact boosting activity with Juliane Schulze as expert trainer.
