Closing of the 4th edition of Mentoring
Programme for Emerging Female Producers
It is with great pleasure that, after a year full of meetings, online sessions, 1-2-1 meetings, networking at major film festivals, we bring to an end the fourth edition of the mentoring programme for emerging female producers.
It has been an exciting year in which we have witnessed the professional and personal growth of some of the participants, as well as the formation of new international co-production partnerships. Many of them have made important decisions in pursuit of their professional careers.
The meeting in Trieste, 22-25 January 2023 was the last official meeting in a film festival. The programme would be finally concluded two weeks later with the Online Accelerator Workshop.
The Trieste meeting, held within the framework of the When East Meets West co-production market, featured masterclasses and case studies, including the success story of the PAMFIR project — a Ukraine-France co-production forged within the programme — as well as exclusive sessions on Eurimages and Creative Europe, and a distribution strategy and market trends workshop led by Katarzyna Siniarska (New Europe Film Sales).
During the private session, the group discussed progress, advances and sensitive issues that required the advice of experienced producers. The group's final online activity took place on 8 February with the Accelerator Workshop's final pitching, a business impact-boosting activity led by expert trainer Juliane Schulze.
