How's Katya to its World Premiere in Locarno
We are so proud of EWA members, the producer Olga Matat and the film director Christina Tinkevich, who will have the premier of Tynkevych's debut film in Locarno Film Festival
The drama film of director Christina Tinkevich will compete for the award of the "Concorso Cineasti del presente" competition, which features 15 films in total.
Social drama How's Katya? is the story of ambulance doctor Anna who seeks justice in this imperfect world. The idea for the film came from Christina Tinkevych's short film Solatium, in which the director explored the subject of human grief and the revenge it entails.

The lead role in the movie was performed by Anastasia Karpenko.
The project had previously been presented on many international platforms, including the film's project developed at the Midpoint Feature Launch script workshop, and later visited Thessaloniki's Agora Crossroads Co-Production Forum and WIP, Karlovy Vary Eastern Promises (Works in Development), OIFF WIP, EAVE on Demand Kyiv, EWA Best Female Pitch at Fest Forward and won New Horizons Studio + (Best Pitch Award).
