III Festival Dona i Cinema closing ceremony

The III International Festival Dona i Cinema, Women and Film held its closing ceremony on 6 June in Valencia. It was organised by Dones en Art. A spanish organization of women in Film and Theatre aimed to give voices to women artists worldwide.

The festival paid tribute in this edition to two of the key figures in the Spanish audiovisual sector, Pilar Miró whose passing was premature and Cecilia Bartolomé, who was chosen as Godmother of the Festival.

In addition to the 24 pieces in the Official Selection, the third Cinema i Dona also offered the workshops:

" Do you want to dub a film?" and "Editing in the cloud" in which Helena Sanchez and Deborah Micheletti, producers and distributors of Dreams of the Red Ant, presented the latest online tools for the audiovisual world and presented their project to recover film archives:  Rewland-Memory Rescatada.

EWA Network was introduced to the audience by Executive Director Francine Raveney and the Spanish association CIMA was also present at the event, with many members represented.
