Serpil Altın's Once Upon a Time in the Future: 2121 wins “Best Sci-Fi Feature” at Phoenix International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival

Once Upon a Time in the Future: 2121  is the first feature by Turkish director Serpil Altın, wins “Best Sci-Fi Feature” at USA Phoenix International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival.

Michael Stackpole, the festival's science fiction program director  commented on the film: “This is an amazing film! It comes from Turkey, it has beatiful shots, wonderful acting, you will be not able to take your eyes from screen…”

Starring in the film are Selen Öztürk, Çağdaş Onur Öztürk, Ayşenil Şamlıoğlu, and Sukeyna Kılıç. Once Upon a Time in the Future: 2121, written by Serpil Altın with Korhan Uğur.  Also, Once Upon a Time in The Future: 2121 is Turkey's  first sustainable film which aims to stay true to Green Production's principles and Serpil Altın is the first female director in Turkey who directs a feature film in the science fiction genre.

Logline:
In the future, the earth becomes uninhabitable due to climate crisis and famine. According to The Scarcity Laws of the Young Administration which controls this system, old generations must be destroyed in exchange for new lives. The life of a family is changed by a new baby they are expecting.

Once Upon a Time in the Future: 2121 next festival journey will be with the 19th Fantaspoa International Fantastic Film Festival (Melies Fedaration member) which will be held in Brazil from 13 to 30 April 2023.
