Producer Zeynep Atakan at the Official Competition

Multi-awarded Turkish producer Zeynep Özbatur Atakan has co-produced Elia Suleiman's It Must Be Heaven alongside Laurine Pelassy. The film will compete for the Palme d'Or.

Storyline : Filmmaker Elia Suleiman travels to different cities and finds unexpected parallels to his homeland of Palestine.

Producer Laurine Pelassy at the Official Competition

Laurine Pelassy is the French producer of Elia Suleiman's It Must Be Heaven, a candidate for the Palme d'Or. Pelassy was selected in the 2019's EWA Mentoring Scheme for Emerging Producers

Producer Anna Bofarull at l'Atelier

After attending Belgrade Women's Pitch in 2018, being one of the mentees of the EWA Mentoring Programme for Emerging producers and receiving funds to produce Sinjar,  her 3rd feature film, Anna Bofarull has been selected by Festival de Cannes to participate in the 15th edition of l'Atelier.

Producer Deirdre Levins at Frontières Presentation

Irish producer and alumna of EWA Network's Multiple Revenue Stream training, Deirdre Levins is an associate producer of Inside(Ireland, Canada, US). Frontieres platform is a presentation of proof of concept videos of seven genre projects in advanced financing stages, seeking partners to secure the final pieces of their budgets. Each team will have five minutes to introduce their project and unveil their teaser trailers.

Deirdre Levins is also an associate producer of Vivariumselected at this year's Critics' Week.

Anita Juka, Producers on the Move

Anita Juka is a producer and co-producer of feature films among which are Here (by Zrinko Ogresta), a Call Girl (by Damjan Kozole) and You carry me (by Ivona Juka, whose Lambs in Wolfskin won the 3rd EWA Network Scriptwriter's residency), the first Croatian film available on Netflix, which has also been nominated by European Film Academy for the Best European Film.

She has produced fiction and creative documentaries that have won numerous awards at international festivals, including Facing the Day and Bad Blue Boys. Anita founded the production house 4Film d.o.o. in 2003, where she works as a producer.

Aino Suni, Breaking Through the Lens Pitch

Based in Helsinki, Suni (born 1985) is one of the most promising Scandinavian directors of her generation. She graduated in 2014 with a Master in film screenwriting from the University of Salford, UK.  Aino is also a Berlinale Talents alumna

Her fiction short films Turnaround and Wolf Carver have been selected in major film festivals such as Clermont-Ferrand or Sarajevo and were broadcasted on Canal+, RTI and YLE. Her first feature, documentary film Never Again (Tuffi Films) about the female gangsta rap artist Mercedes Bentso, premiered in fall 2018. Her project, awarded by Eurimages, A GIRL's ROOM, has been included in the shortlist of Breaking Through the Lens 2019
