WOMEN IN SERIES SPEED MEETINGS 2025

We are thrilled to partner once more with PFDM (Pour les Femmes dans les Médias)  to propose dedicated events to enhance women's visibility and networking in this  exclusive event fostered by Series Mania Forum, the  "Speed Meetings”.

After four years of partnership with the Series Mania Forum and the creation in 2021 of the PFDM/EWA Network's Women in Series Award, rewarding an outstanding woman in the audiovisual industry for her vision and leadership, it seemed essential to organize meetings between women professionals in the series industry, and create a space for them  to meet renowned women in the series industry.

These Speed Meetings are exclusively for women attending the SERIES MANIA forum, in Lille. The goal of the event is to bring seasoned French and International women, professionals of the series industry and members of PFDM and EWA Network together with other women of the audiovisual sector wishing to meet themselves and exchange with the selected experts.

WHEN: Tuesday 26th of March, in Lille

Content: Tailor-made sharing of experience and best practices; individualized feedback. Networking and goodwill.

Speed Meetings session: Each table will be hosted by PFDM and EWA Network members recognized in the industry.

Presentation: The meetings will take place one on one, on individual tables, each lasting 10 min.

Rebecca Ransley. BBC Studios

Senior Vice President Scripted, Content Sales Markets EMEA, BBC Studios. As Senior Vice President Scripted for BBC Studios’ Content Sales Markets EMEA, RebeccaRansley is responsible for co-production and finished tape sales across all EMEA markets.

Rebecca leads teams in London, Warsaw, Paris and Cologne, who recently brokered co-production deals on titles such as The Famous Five and A Good Girls Guide to Murder with ZDF.

Based in London and reporting to Janet Brown, President of Global Content Sales, Rebecca works closely with BBC Studios’ content sales leads across Global Markets and North America, as well as with BBC Studios Production leadership.

With over a decade of experience within roles at BBC Studios, Rebecca has managed sales teams across the EMEA region and worked with a range of local and global customers to bring BBC Studios content to audiences in the region.

Prior to her time at BBC Studios, Rebecca held a variety of commercial and production roles across News and Current Affairs at the BBC, including BBC Panorama.

Marike Muselaers. Nordisk Film

Marike recently joined the Nordisk Film Production management team (Denmark/Sweden/Norway) as Head of International Financing and Coproductions. She started her career at Fortissimo Films and RTL Netherlands, but really developed an interest for quality storytelling and international partnerships during her 15 years at the Lumiere Group in the Benelux, where she was responsible for sales, acquisitions, coproductions and international financing in production and distribution, before co-leading the group as Lumiere’s co-CEO.

At Nordisk Film Production, Marike Muselaers is responsible for strengthening the financing of film and series projects and creating and maintaining meaningful partnerships with streaming services, broadcasters, co-producers and other partners.

Next to connecting the best storytellers with the right partners for Nordisk Film Production, Marike is coaching (Central Eastern European) producers and writers in her role as Financing Tutor for the Midpoint Series Launch program. She also enjoys being a mentor at training programs like Qumra Series, Cinelink Sarajevo and SeriesWomen, and she is a member of the advisory board of TV Drama Vision and Nostradamus at the Göteborg Film Festival. Marike is also a well known moderator, keynote speaker and panel guest at many industry events like Berlinale, Cannes Film Festival, NEM Zagreb, SeriesMania, TV Beats Tallinn, Content London and the European Showrunner Program, and she holds an MBA for the Creative Industries

Pandora da Cunha. Ukbar Filmes

Pandora da Cunha Telles has a degree in International Relations and Political Science at the University of Lisbon. In 2004, she was one of “Producer on the Move” at Cannes. Pandora founded Ukbar Filmes in 2009 with Pablo Iraola and has worked both in cinema and television, with their projects garnering significant praise and awards, and beating viewership records with their projects. Vicente Alves do Ó directed a trilogy of period biopics. Likewise, Private Milhões directed by Jorge Paixão da Costa and Gonçalo Galvão Teles; and Jorge Jácome’s first feature SuperNatural, won the FIPRESCI Award at the Berlinale |Forum Section 2022.

Pandora ventured into television with 2010’s República (+1 M. viewers at the premiere); 2020’s 24 Land
(which reached audience records and was the first Portuguese series in the Drama Producers Pitch |
CanneSeries), 2021’s Good Crooks Chronicles and 2023’s Turn of The Tide Season 1, the second
Portuguese series for Netflix (TOP10 in more than 30 countries and garnering numerous accolades). Pandora’s extensive experience in international co-productions has translated to several partnerships: Terry Gilliam's The Man Who Killed Don Quixote (Cannes’ closing film in 2018); Marcelo Gomes’ Joaquim (Berlinale’s Official Selection 2017), and Paloma (won three awards at the Rio Film Festival in 2022); Daniela Thomas’ The Surge (Berlinale’s Panorama Selection 2017); Licínio Azevedo’s Train Of Salt & Sugar (Locarno Official Selection 2017); Tarzan and Arab Nasser’s Gaza, Mon Amour (Venice and Toronto Film Festivals in 2020)

In 2024, Pandora premiered several features, such as Foremost By Night, Artificial Justice, Your Face Will Be The Last and Cândido (which she also co-wrote), and shot seasons 2 and 3 of Turn of The Tide; the series Broken Spies; the sci-fi series Punto Nemo in co-production with Spain; the documentary Curiua-Catu; and the features, Phenomenal Land and Portuguese. Currently developing the period series The Marquise of Alorna and the feature Esteiros.
In 2023, Pandora was elected as the Vice-President of the European Producers’ Club. She has also been a
contributing member of the European Film Politics Seminar, and is a member of the European Film
Academy, the Portuguese Film Academy (APCA), the Portuguese Association of Film and Audiovisual
Producers (APRAF).
