Prague, March 10
We had the pleasure of taking part in a very animated roundtable in Prague, in the context of EAST DOC PLATFORM, alongside Mridu Chandra (Tribeca Film Institute), Geralyn Dreyfous (Impact Partners) and Leena Pasanen (DOK Leipzig). Alexia Muiños represented the EWA Network and Polish producer Katarzyna Slesicka moderated.
This panel was focused on opportunities and support for women filmmakers, as well as providing an overview of the status of women in the international film landscape, including a presentation of EWA's pan-European research and recommendations for the future.
The audience was composed 95% of women who participated in the Q&A with practical questions and received advice regarding support and opportunities for women filmmakers.
Since 2012, the East European Forum in Prague is one of the pillars of the EAST DOC PLATFORM, which is organised by the Institute of Documentary Film and is associated with the One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival.
The panel was followed by EWA-sponsored drinks - an opportunity for us to meet some EWA members and guests of the ONE WORLD Festival.
