Debate on Gender Equality at the One World Film Festival

On March 15, the One World Festival (Prague, Czech Republic) invited the European Women’s Audiovisual Network to a debate on gender equality and sharing some key findings of the pan European Research study performed by the network.

We are delighted to see that discussions on gender equality and initiatives to enhance women’s visibility are increasingly on the agendas of film industry events.

We have to thank the One World Festival, a Human Rights documentary film festival taking place in the Czech Republic, for providing the latest opportunity to highlight this topic.  The Festival organised a very inspiring debate on women and gender equality after the screening of Queens of Syria - by Yasmin Fedda, in the presence of the film’s UK producer, Georgina Paget. Andrea Culkova and EWA’s Deputy Director, Alexia Muiños Ruiz, also took part and the debate was moderated by EWA’s ambassador for the Czech Republic, Masa Hilcisin.
