I do not care if we go down in History as Barbarians has received the Crystal Globe at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
The film has been produced by EWA Network president Ada Solomon and directed by Radu Jude. It explains the story of a director who refuses to compromise with Holocaust deniers.
Ada Solomon dedicated the award “to every true patriot who dares to speak the truth about their country” and cited parallels in the fight for the truth about Romania's role in Holocaust with the honesty of Ukrainian filmmaker Oleg Sentsov, voicing hope he “will be a filmmaker, not a martyr.”
History of Love by Sonja Prosenc SPECIAL JURY MENTION AT KARLOVY VARY IFF
The film directed by Slovenian Sonja Prosenc, mostly shot in Friuli Venezia Giulia (IT) in the summer of 2017, won the special jury mention for artistic achievement at 53rd Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
The world première, which took place the 30th June in the Czech city, counted 2000 spectators.

Cypriot director Tonia Mishiali, who has an impressive and long-running festival track record with her shortfilms including Locarno, Palm Springs and Sarajevo, premiered her feature debut PAUSE at the East of the West competition at the 53rd Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
In her films, Mishiali deals with subjects that touch on social issues and the role of women in modern-day society.
