46% of women among Academy’s new members

After so many comments on the insufficient attention paid to diversity, including at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the board of this organisation has decided become more diverse by including 683 new members, 46% of which are women. To widen the Academy’s point of view, 283 new members come from outside the US, including South Korea, Vietnam, Morocco, Denmark or Argentina.

So we congratulate the brilliant filmmakers and documentary producers/filmmaker who have been invited, including EWA’s president Isabel Coixet.
